Our Roots
Lloyd & Jane was founded by third-generation rancher and businesswoman, Jody Dahl, with a mission to create a marketplace that reflects the values, skills, and spirit of rural communities. This multi-vendor platform is specifically designed for rural makers, creators, professionals, and producers, offering them the opportunity to reach a broader audience and marketplace. With a larger customer base, producers can scale their operations, diversify their product offerings, and increase their production volumes.
The name Lloyd & Jane honors Jody's parents, Lloyd and Jane Debruycker, pioneers in the Charolais cattle industry and beloved members of the rural community in Choteau, Montana. Together, they raised six children on their farm and ranch, instilling in them not only the skills to manage the land and livestock but also a deep sense of community and service. They believed that the success of their rural livelihood depended on the vitality and well-being of their neighbors, and they passed down this legacy of mutual support and community-focused values to the next generation.
Lloyd & Jane is committed to donating 1% of all sales to The Jody Alise Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on fostering the mental and emotional well-being of youth in rural Montana, with plans to expand across further western states. We firmly believe that mental health is the foundation for a happy, resilient future, and we are dedicated to supporting this crucial cause.
